The 16th Annual Manifest Prize

About the Open Call

The Manifest Prize, now in its 16th annual iteration, offers a significantly increased award of $10,000, doubled from the previous $5,000 prize. This open call invites artists working in any media, genre, or style to submit their work for consideration. There are almost no restrictions on submissions, beyond requiring works to have been completed within the past five years (2020-2025) and to be available for exhibition from early December 2025 through mid-January 2026. A multi-round blind jury process, involving 7-15+ professional and academic advisors, will select one winning work for the $10,000 award and a dedicated solo exhibition in one of Manifest's five galleries. Additionally, four runner-up finalists will each receive $250. All selected works will be recognized and documented in the season's Manifest Exhibition Annual publication. The prize aims to reward, showcase, celebrate, and document exceptional artwork, supporting artists in meaningful ways and championing mastery and quality in visual art. Submissions are digital, with specific file naming conventions, and require high-quality images. Video-based works require online viewing links in addition to a representative JPEG image. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs to and from the gallery. Works will be insured by Manifest while on gallery premises. An entry fee is required for submission.

What is Offered

A $10,000 cash award for the winning artist, a solo exhibition of the winning work, publication in the Manifest Exhibition Annual, and $250 cash awards for four finalist (runner-up) works.

Requirements

Works must have been completed within the past five years (2020-2025). The winning work must be available for exhibition from December 12, 2025 – January 9, 2026. Submissions must represent exceptional original works of visual art, design, or high craftsmanship, capable of being exhibited in Manifest's galleries. Accepted work must arrive gallery-ready and exhibit professional-level presentation and craftsmanship. Digital image files must meet specified naming and quality requirements. Video entries require a viewable online link and a representative JPEG image.

How to Apply

Artists must submit their work via the online entry form available at the provided URL. Images must be uploaded using the Dropbox button provided after submitting the entry form. Entry fees can be paid by U.S. check or money order mailed to Manifest Creative Research Gallery (P.O. Box 6218, Cincinnati, OH 45206) or by credit card via PayPal, using the link provided on the page that follows online submission.
