About the Open Call
The 3rd Asian Art Rising Star Award is an annual competition open to artists aged 18+ who are of Asian nationality or based in Asia. The program includes a nationwide public voting system via FamilyMart's FamiPort terminals and a group exhibition at Polaris Café in Taichung from September 2 to November 3, 2026. Submissions must be original works under 80x80x80cm and 5kg, excluding perishable or fluid materials.
What is Offered
1st Prize includes a podcast feature interview, a dedicated press feature, gallery representation, and a showcase at the 2027 Taiwan Art Fair. Finalists receive press features and exhibition opportunities.
Requirements
Artists aged 18 or above, of Asian nationality or based in Asia. Artworks must be under 80x80x80cm, weigh under 5kg, and cannot incorporate plant-based, biological, or fluid materials.
