About the Open Call

The Greater Augusta Arts Council is seeking ten (10) leasable, pre-existing, outdoor sculptures to be installed for two years in Downtown Augusta. The works will be featured as part of a digital walking tour and heavily promoted. Selected artists will receive a $3,000 stipend ($1,500 at installation, $1,500 at de-installation). All works must be able to withstand local weather conditions and be safe for pedestrian interaction. The city may purchase works for its permanent collection.

What is Offered

$3,000 stipend per selected sculpture for a 2-year lease.

Requirements

Artists must be at least 18 years old and reside in the United States. Sculptures must be pre-existing, original works suitable for outdoor display, capable of being secured to a 4'x4'x4" concrete pad, and withstand Augusta's weather. Artists must provide a $1 million liability insurance policy naming the City and Council as additional insured.
