About the Open Call
The Derek Hill Foundation Scholarship residency includes a monthly stipend, a large studio, three meals a day, 24-hour library access, and access to research archives in Rome and around Italy. The scholarship is awarded to artists for painting and drawing practices, though the scope is broad and experimental. Selection is made by a panel of museum directors, curators, and the foundation. Applications typically open annually in late November.
