About the Open Call

The Glasgow Gallery of Photography is launching a new theme called Macro for a digital exhibition in April 2026. The exhibition focuses on macro photography, bringing a new perspective to tiny subjects such as insects, plants, and everyday objects. Selected photographers will have their work displayed digitally in the gallery, featured in an online gallery on the website, and included in an exhibition catalogue.

What is Offered

Digital display in physical gallery, online gallery feature, exhibition catalogue inclusion, and a digital certificate of participation.

Requirements

Photographers must submit up to 8 JPEG images. Images must be 300ppi and at least 1200 pixels on the shortest side. There is a £22.00 participation fee if selected.

How to Apply

Select up to 8 JPEG images (300ppi, minimum 1200 pixels on shortest side). Name files in the format 'Firstname-Surname'. Send files via Smash, SwissTransfer, WeTransfer, or Dropbox to submissions@glasgowgalleryofphotography.com. Include your name, nationality/residence, exhibition title ('Macro'), and any titles, social media, or website links you wish to be listed.
