About the Open Call

The 16th Annual Manifest Prize offers a $10,000 award to a single exceptional work of visual art, open to any media, genre, or style, completed within the past five years (2020-2025). The winning work will receive a four-week solo exhibition at Manifest Creative Research Gallery from December 12, 2025, to January 9, 2026, and will be featured in the Manifest Exhibition Annual publication. Four runners-up will each receive $250 and recognition in the publication. The selection process involves a rigorous multi-round blind jury by a panel of professional and academic advisors. Artists are responsible for shipping costs, but works are insured by Manifest on gallery premises. Submission signifies agreement to exhibit if selected. The prize aims to reward and document exceptional artwork, championing mastery and quality in visual art. Accepted media includes video, photography, sculpture, installation, painting, drawing, printmaking, and furniture design.

What is Offered

$10,000 cash award, four-week solo exhibition, publication in Manifest Exhibition Annual, and four runner-up awards of $250 each.

Requirements

Works must have been completed within the past five years (2020-2025). Works must be available for exhibition from December 12, 2025, to January 9, 2026. Works must be gallery-ready and exhibit good craftsmanship. Digital images must meet specified file naming and sizing requirements. Video links must be active and accessible without login. Artists must cover shipping costs to and from the gallery.

How to Apply

Submit via the online Entry Form at https://www.manifestgallery.org/one/entry/index.html. Digital images/files must be uploaded using the Dropbox button provided after entry form submission, following specific file naming conventions (lastname_firstname_entrynumber.jpg). Video entries require a viewable online link and a single representative JPEG image. Entry fees can be paid via U.S. check or credit card via PayPal.
