About the Open Call
The New Lexicon is an international research residency devoted to advancing the philosophies of various musical disciplines as rigorous fields of inquiry. Across four online seminars and a culminating public residency at Bled Contemporary Music Week, participants will articulate the philosophical premises of their practices, develop projects through critical exchange, and contribute to a shared yet plural vocabulary for thinking music anew. The program covers multiple research groups including composition, performance, research, technology, education, theory, and more.
