About the Open Call
The Other Almanac is looking for creative non-fiction, fresh journalistic essays, and visual work across all 2D and 3D materials. Essays should focus on topics such as ecology, plants, migration, technology, and culture. They are also seeking seasonal or monthly columns for tips, guides, or anecdotes related to seasonal changes.
What is Offered
$150 for written work and $50 for visual work.
Requirements
Essays: 500 - 1400 words. Columns: under 200 words per month or 400 per season. Visual work: original art in any 2D or 3D medium. Creative non-fiction preferred over traditional research papers.
