About the Open Call
The Studios at MASS MoCA offers artists 24-hour access to private studio space, lodging in renovated furnished apartments, and museum membership benefits. The program supports artists at all career stages and includes opportunities for curator studio visits, artist presentations, and professional development. Financial aid is available for the majority of participants, with several fellowships offering full support.
What is Offered
Private studio, furnished apartment, daily lunch, museum access, curator visits, financial aid/fellowships, and laundry facilities.
Requirements
Open to visual artists and writers at all career stages; collaborative duos are eligible; art practice must not generate strong fumes or require soundproofed rehearsal space.
How to Apply
Applications are accepted four times a year via the Studios’ Submittable page. Collaborative duos may apply by submitting joint CVs and work samples in a single application.
