About the Open Call

Kickstart your art career with a solo exhibition of your artwork in the Tribeca Arts District presented by The Untitled Space gallery. The selected artist will be awarded a solo exhibition that will be presented as an in-person solo show at the gallery on Lispenard Street located in the Tribeca Arts District of New York City. The solo exhibition will be supported with an online exclusive of the exhibition on Artsy, as well as special coverage of the exhibition on a variety of media outlets including The Untitled Magazine among others. The exhibition will be promoted on the gallery’s websites, social media channels, and on a variety of publishing platforms. Have your artwork seen by collectors, press, art advisors, and art lovers around the world. The opportunity includes an Online Solo Show for the runner-up. All applicants will also be considered for future opportunities at The Untitled Space, including group shows, art fairs, online exhibits, and special projects. The Untitled Space is an art gallery located in Tribeca, New York in a landmark building on Lispenard Street. Founded in 2015, the gallery features an ongoing curation of exhibits of emerging and established contemporary artists exploring conceptual framework and boundary-pushing ideology through mediums of painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, video, and performance art. The gallery is committed to exploring new ideas vis-à-vis traditional and new mediums and highlights a program of women in art.

What is Offered

Your artwork featured in an exclusive solo exhibition at The Untitled Space in Tribeca, NYC. The solo exhibition will be supported by an online exclusive of the exhibition on Artsy. The Untitled Space will feature the artist and exhibition artwork across all of our social media channels. The solo exhibition will be featured in a variety of media outlets including The Untitled Magazine, Artsy, Art Forum, Art Rabbit, Art Week, Widewalls, among many others. The gallery will host an opening reception for the artist, and cover relevant expenses including exhibition promotion, staffing, and the gallery venue. The gallery space available for the exhibition includes 1400 sq ft and approximately 110ft of linear wall space for hanging artwork, as well as a number of accessories including state of the art motorized gallery track lighting, pedestals, projectors, and monitors for digital display. The 2nd place artist will be awarded an online solo show on Artsy and will be featured on The Untitled Space’s website and other online platforms of the gallery.

Requirements

Open to all artists, national and international, working in all visual media. No education or past exhibition requirements. Works may be figurative or abstract and created in any medium. Proposals should ideally include new work that will premiere with the exhibition. The proposal may also include renderings of proposed works to be created for the exhibition. An application is required for all artists to be considered. We do not accept walk-ins or any unsolicited artwork shipped by mail.
