About the Open Call

The exhibition focuses on how identities are continuously shaped through movement, language, labor, adaptation, and material experience. Moving beyond traditional ideas of diaspora and in-betweenness, the project encourages artists to approach identity as something performed, negotiated, and constantly reimagined. Artists at all career stages are invited to submit work that engages with cultural translation, resistance, transformation, and the creation of new forms of belonging. Selected works will be presented in an online group exhibition curated by the Li Tang Gallery team and promoted internationally through digital platforms and outreach channels. The exhibition will be reviewed by guest jurors: Matilda Berke Oorja Garg Abhishek Tuiwala

Requirements

Applicants must: Be aged 18 or older Submit original artwork Be able to provide digital files suitable for online exhibition Comply with copyright requirements The open call is international and welcomes artists from all backgrounds and career stages. Application Requirements Applicants are required to: Complete the online submission form Pay a $5 submission fee Submit an artist bio (maximum 150 words) Upload up to 3 artwork images Submit JPEG files under 1MB each Follow the required file naming format: Firstname_Lastname_Title_Medium_Dimensions_Year.jpeg For moving-image works: Video submissions must not exceed 2 minutes Password-protected files or downloadable attachments are not accepted Submissions via email are not accepted.
