About the Open Call

Art Fluent invites artists worldwide to submit artwork to our online exhibit, THROWING SHADE. Light and shadow speak to the parts of us that words miss. Light reveals, shadow conceals, and in the space between them, mystery and emotion come alive. In any medium, light and shadow guide our attention and shape how we sit with a piece. Open to all fine art mediums (oil, acrylic, watermedia, pastel, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, sculpture, fiber, wood, ceramics, film/video, digital art). AI will not be accepted.

What is Offered

All accepted pieces will be displayed in an online gallery. Best of Show: $750. Two Director’s Choice awards: $250 each. Artists receive 100% of sales.

Requirements

Work must not be copied or done under the guidance of an instructor. Work that has been selected for previous exhibits with Art Fluent will not be considered. Up to 20 entries allowed.

How to Apply

Submit via the CaFÉ website at https://artist.callforentry.org/fair_logos/18304.jpeg (as referenced by the call structure). Images must be in JPEG/JPG format, 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, under 5MB. Video formats include MOV, MP4, WMV under 100MB.
