Transformed is a thought-provoking art exhibition exploring the beauty and potential of repurposed materials, showcasing the ingenuity of artists who breathe new life into discarded and forgotten objects. Through sculptural works, installations, and mixed media pieces, this exhibition invites viewers to reconsider everyday items as sources of inspiration and artistic expression. The exhibition highlights creativity's power to alter both the physical form and cultural significance of materials like industrial scraps, broken electronics, and recycled fabrics. Artists challenge themes of sustainability, consumption, and waste, demonstrating how discarded objects can tell rich, new stories. The exhibition is a celebration of resourcefulness and renewal, inviting discovery of how obsolete items can be transformed into art reflecting our collective past, present, and future. All original 2D or 3D work following entry guidelines will be considered. Juror Jaynie Crimmins, a New York City-based paper sculptor, creates alternative narratives by recycling quotidian materials. Works selected will be exhibited in MFA’s Circle Gallery from October 31 – November 22, 2025.
