About the Open Call

Tuŝis—meaning 'touched' in Esperanto—invites artists to submit work that shows manipulation, construction, or transformation of images. All photo-hybrids are welcome, including work using A.I. components and digital painting in creative combination with original photography. Five winners will be selected for inclusion in the August 2026 special edition of Dek Unu Magazine, with promotion online and in print.

What is Offered

Five selected artists will have their work published and promoted in the August 2026 edition of Dek Unu Magazine, both online and in paperback. The top juror-selected winner receives a $250 USD cash prize, and all remaining winners will have their entry fees refunded.

Requirements

Applicants must provide a bio, artist statement, and 5 images formatted as .JPG, 300ppi, 8 inches on the long side. Filenames must follow the pattern: ImageNumber_First_Last_Title_of_Image.jpg. Open to all photo-hybrids/manipulated images.

How to Apply

Submit a single email to dekunuarts@gmail.com containing a brief bio (max 150 words), project explanation/notes (max 350 words), and relevant links. Attach 5 separate image files in .JPG format (300ppi, 8 inches on the longer side) with specific file naming conventions. Entry fees are paid via PayPal or Venmo.
