About the Open Call

The exhibition focuses on the physical creation of photographic images beyond the camera. Eligible processes include cyanotype, lumens, Van Dyke, salt, chemigram, tintype, bromoil, gum bichromate, platinum/palladium, photogravure, albumen, liquid emulsion, ziatype, image transfers, kallitypes, lith prints, silver gelatin prints, encaustic, stitched, gilded, and mordoncage. Digital negatives are permitted, but AI-generated images are not. The juror is Melanie Walker.

What is Offered

$100 Visitors Award, physical exhibition at Creek Road Homestead, online exhibition gallery, inclusion in an exhibition catalogue and 'The 27' hardbound book, and social media features.

Requirements

Open to all professional and amateur photographers. Works must be unique handmade prints. Images previously exhibited at A Smith Gallery are ineligible. AI-generated images are not accepted. International entries are welcome.

How to Apply

Applicants must fill out the online application form, submit digital images (up to 1800 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi, JPEG format), and pay the entry fee via PayPal or check.
