ViewPoint Gallery International Photography Competition - 2026

About the Open Call

This is an opportunity to exhibit your work for one month at ViewPoint Gallery, the only art gallery in Atlantic Canada dedicated solely to photography. The competition is open to photographers worldwide with no restrictions on subject matter. An independent jury will select 12 images for exhibition. Selected winners will have their work professionally printed and framed by the gallery. Images will be available for in-person sale, with the artist receiving 85% of the sale price. Winners also receive a free profile page as a Virtual Associate of the gallery for one year.

What is Offered

12 winners will receive professional printing, matting, and framing at no cost; a one-month physical exhibition; one-year free Virtual Associate membership with a website profile; and promotional coverage across the gallery's digital channels.

Requirements

Open to photographers worldwide. Current ViewPoint members and their families are ineligible. Artists must hold sole copyright. Images must meet specific technical standards (JPEG, 1200px long side, 8 bits/channel). Winners must provide high-resolution files for printing (e.g., 12x18 inches at 300 ppi).

How to Apply

Photographers must pay a $25 USD entry fee via PayPal and then complete the online submission form via Google Forms. Each entry allows for up to three JPEG images (1200 pixels on the long side, sRGB, under 1MB). Multiple entries are permitted. Entrants must provide their name, city, country, and image titles.
