About the Open Call
NextGen 13.0 is an annual exhibition spotlighting new and developing voices from the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region. Designed for artists with little or no prior exhibition experience, it offers the chance to present work in a professional gallery setting. The program includes an opening reception, artist talks, critiques, and professional development sessions led by local curators and arts administrators.

Requirements
Emerging artists ages 17–27 from the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region. Artists who previously participated in NextGen are not eligible to apply.
How to Apply
Submit via the Submittable portal. Applicants must include a completed application form, images or video/sound files of up to five works, an artist statement (max 250 words), an artist bio (max 150 words), and a resume or CV.
