WE THE PEOPLE - Open Call

About the Open Call

Inspired by the preamble to the U.S. Constitution, "WE THE PEOPLE" asks artists to reflect on what democracy means in everyday life. The exhibition invites submissions that portray people participating in, shaping, or experiencing the ongoing American democratic experiment. Artists are encouraged to respond creatively to the Constitution's guiding principles, including: Forming a more perfect union Establishing justice Ensuring domestic tranquility Providing for the common defense Promoting the general welfare Securing liberty for present and future generations Rather than offering literal interpretations, the call encourages artists to think beyond conventional representations and explore these themes through original and imaginative perspectives.

Requirements

Open to all artists. All artistic media are welcome. Entries must be submitted online through CaFE (Call for Entry). The exhibition will be juried by Jeremy Moss. Cash awards will be presented (amounts not specified in the call). Applicants should consult the exhibition prospectus for complete submission guidelines.
