Westward Ho! Public Art Project

About the Open Call

Torridge District Council is seeking an artist to create a bold, joyful, and distinctive public art piece in Westward Ho!. The project aims to create a place-making centrepiece for the village that reflects local history, natural environment, and community life. The artwork will be located near the Village Green. The total project involves a £15k design fee, £30k for fabrication and installation, and £5k for community engagement.

What is Offered

Total project budget of £50k (comprising £15k design fee, £30k fabrication/installation, and £5k community engagement fee). Shortlisted artists receive a £500 pitch fee.

Requirements

Experience in the public realm, experience collaborating with communities, and a willingness to spend time with the people and places of Westward Ho!.
