About the Open Call

The Edward F. Albee Foundation maintains the William Flanagan Memorial Creative Persons Center to serve writers and visual artists by providing uninterrupted time and space to work. The residence, a converted horse stable, accommodates four people at a time in private studios and en-suite rooms. The program emphasizes a communal, peaceful atmosphere and requires residents to contribute to the upkeep of the space. Selection is based on talent and need.

What is Offered

Individual en-suite bedrooms, private working studios, $2500 stipend for domestic Fellows, and capped expense reimbursements for international Fellows.

Requirements

Applicants must be over the age of 18. Fellows must wait a full calendar year after their residency ends to apply again. Specific submission materials depend on the discipline (writer or visual artist).
