About the Open Call

WOMEN UNITED ART PRIZE IS A PRESTIGIOUS CONTEMPORARY ART PRIZE DEDICATED TO CELEBRATING FEMALE VISUAL ARTISTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD WHO WORK IN 2D FORMATS. ORGANIZED BY WOMEN UNITED ART MOVEMENT, THIS PRIZE OFFERS DIVERSE AND EXCITING OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN ARTISTS, WITH A MISSION TO ELEVATE AND HIGHLIGHT THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE GLOBAL ART SCENE. Women United ART PRIZE is open to all women-identifying artists worldwide, regardless of their education, age, sexual orientation, race, career stage, location. Accepted categories are Painting & Drawing (Oil, Acrylic, Watercolour, Gouache, Ink, Pastel, Charcoal, mixed media), Collage & Fiber Art (analogue collage, digital collage, assemblage, paper art, weaving, knitting, quilting, embroidery, felting, crocheting, wearable art, including 3D works), and Photography & Printmaking (all types of photography and printmaking). Inappropriate or offensive content will be excluded.

What is Offered

Prizes include a EUR 500 cash prize for 1st place in each category, award certificates, exclusive in-depth interviews in Women United Art Magazine and on the Women United Art Podcast, virtual solo/group exhibits with 3D gallery tours, Women United Artist Directory profiles, free entries to 2026 opportunities, social media features, lifetime/12-month digital subscriptions to the magazine, tickets to online networking events, 12-month Smartist App subscriptions, The Stackhouse Art Printing Services gift cards (USD 250), professional artist brochure/portfolio design by Mona Lerch (EUR 250/USD 250), 50% or 25% discounts to 2026 workshops, programs & virtual retreats, Artist Resource Premium Bundles, and Email Marketing Bundles.

Requirements

Open to all women-identifying artists worldwide. Artwork must be original. Accepted categories: Painting & Drawing, Collage & Fiber Art (including 3D works), Photography & Printmaking. Inappropriate content is excluded. Artwork images must be at least 1000px wide, min 72 DPI, ideal file size 1.5 MB, in JPG, JPEG, PNG. Submissions require artist bio, statement, website, social media handle, email address, and location.

How to Apply

Artists must submit their work through the provided submission links for their chosen category (Painting & Drawing, Collage & Fiber Art, or Photography & Printmaking). Each entry requires a non-refundable fee starting at EUR 18 for 2 artworks, up to EUR 45 for 5 artworks. Submissions must include artist bio, statement, website, social media handle, email address, and location. Artwork images should be at least 1000px wide, min 72 DPI, ideal file size 1.5 MB, in JPG, JPEG, or PNG formats.
