About the Open Call
The Writers’ Lab is an entry-level course supporting new writers in creating their first play. Led by Sharmila Chauhan, Jules Haworth, and Roy Alexander Weise, the 9-month program includes monthly group sessions, four full-day Saturday workshops, and three one-to-one script feedback sessions. The program culminates in consideration for the annual Tony Craze Award.
What is Offered
Professional development course, script feedback, and potential consideration for the Tony Craze Award.
Requirements
Must be 18+. Not suitable for those who have previously participated in major playwriting programs, have an MA in stage writing, have written multiple plays, had a full production staged, received commissions, or have a writing agent.
How to Apply
Apply via the online Typeform link when applications are open. The application requires answering short-answer and long-form questions, and submitting a 1-2 page writing extract.
