Yéego Action Grant

About the Open Call

The Yéego Action Grant provides support for Native artists and culture bearers needing financial assistance with a specific professional opportunity or hardship hindering their practice. Grants up to $2,500 are awarded monthly to help artists 'keep going' during unexpected challenges. Funds may cover market entry fees, professional development travel, emergency costs, repair of equipment, or unanticipated medical issues impacting work. Ineligible requests include general operating costs, tuition for degree programs, and funding for new or existing artistic projects.

Grants of up to $2,500 for individual Native artists and culture bearers.

Requirements

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, be a practicing artist, and be an enrolled member or provide proof of lineal descendancy from a U.S. federally or state-recognized tribe, or be Alaska Native or Native Hawaiian. Applicants must not be currently enrolled in an academic degree-seeking program, must not have previously received a Yéego Action Grant, and cannot be current FPF grantees or fellows.

How to Apply

Applications are accepted through the Submittable platform. Applicants must provide proof of tribal affiliation, three recent work samples, and a clear description of the financial need and how the grant will impact their artistic practice.
